The Role
YieldNest is searching for a battle-tested Senior Smart Contract Engineer with deep expertise in Solidity and the EVM. You’ll be at the heart of our protocol, designing and developing smart contracts. This isn’t just about writing code; it’s about innovating in the DeFi space, delivering high-quality, scalable solutions, and ensuring our systems are rock-solid, secure, and efficient. You’ll also contribute to robust user interfaces and backend services where needed, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in DeFi. Additionally, the ability to build off-chain systems in Javascript/Typescript is desirable.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and Integrate: Design and develop smart contracts for the YieldNest protocol, including seamless integrations with staking providers, and various DeFi systems like lending platforms, yield generators, and DEXes.
- Innovate: Lead the charge in researching and expanding in Yield protocols, pushing the envelope in DeFi while staying informed about the latest trends in Web3 and application design.
- Architect Systems: Design robust open-source smart contract systems, which are sound from a security and economic design perspective, while offering protocol users the best risk-adjusted returns on their capital.
- Develop and Maintain: Develop open-source source Solidity contracts and tests, employing the best applicable software development practices, and managing the entire protocol release cycle from design stage to audits and deployment, in close collaboration with the core team and auditors.
- Secure and Monitor: Design and enforce security best practices, proactively spotting and fixing vulnerabilities to protect our on-chain systems.
- Collaborate: Work closely with the product team to turn ideas into functional, well-crafted applications.
- Write Quality Code: Produce clean, reusable code with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
- Optimize Performance: Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues, and implement new features to improve the user experience.
- Be Agile: Actively participate in sprints, manage priorities, and address challenges efficiently.
- Document Thoroughly: Ensure clear and consistent documentation for all development processes, adhering to version control best practices.
What You’ll Need
- Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a Full Stack or Smart Contract Engineer, developing and deploying production-grade Solidity contracts, with demonstrable and meaningful traction (eg. 8+ figure TVL protocol, high volume DEX or other).
- Expertise: Deep understanding of Liquid Staking protocols (LSDs), DeFi, Ethereum Staking, and the EVM.
- DeFi Knowledge: Strong grasp of DeFi protocols and smart contract-level integrations with various systems like lending platforms, yield generators, DEXes, and Ethereum indexing tools.
- Off-chain systems: Ability to build reliable off-chain systems such as keepers using Node.js(Javascript/TypeScript) is desirable.
- Track Record: Proven success in optimizing and launching complex smart contract systems on Ethereum, with notable traction metrics, preferably with a top 20 TVL-ranked protocol. Bonus if you’ve built and scaled applications in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: A critical eye for on-chain security, writing clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Communication: Top-tier communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across timezones and with cross-functional teams.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment tools.
- Self-Starter Mentality: A focus on results, thriving in an ever-changing environment with a solid understanding of the crypto landscape.

- Experience developing Liquid Staking protocols or staking platforms.
- Familiarity with EigenLayer and its ecosystem.
